Jean Reno: The Man Behind the Signature Voice of Mufasa, Leon, and Enzo



Born Juan Moreno y Herrera-Jiménez in Morocco to Spanish parents, Reno moved to France when he was 17. After a short stint in the French army (required for citizenship) he became an actor, using a Frenchified version of his name.

His parents were natives of Spain but had moved to Morocco in order to find better work and escape Spain, which had been under the rule of dictator Francisco Franco.
