Microsoft Edge Fullscreen Mode: A New Way to Browse the Web

Each list item of the policy is a string that contains an extension ID and, optionally, an "update" URL separated by a semicolon (;). The extension ID is the 32-letter string found, for example, on edge://extensions when in Developer mode. If specified, the "update" URL should point to an Update Manifest XML document ( =2095043 ). By default, the Microsoft Edge Add-ons website's update URL is used. The "update" URL set in this policy is only used for the initial installation; subsequent updates of the extension use the update URL in the extension's manifest.

This policy disables two family safety related features in the browser. This will hide the Family page inside Settings and navigation to edge://settings/family will be blocked. The family settings page describes what features are available with family groups with Microsoft Family Safety. Learn more about Family Safety here: ( =2098432). Starting in Microsoft Edge 90, this policy also disables Kids Mode, a kid friendly browsing mode with custom themes and allow list browsing that requires the device password to exit. Microsoft Edge Finally Gets A Fullscreen Mode

Windows 10 build 16215, according to the company, updates the Start menu and Action Center with Fluent Design System elements. Microsoft Edge gets full screen mode button, you can pin favorites to the taskbar, annotate ebooks, and a lot more.

1) Metro apps suck mooseballs. 2) RDP worlks just fine, but Local windows 7x maching thinks it's some kind of app that, even in full screen mode, when I mouse to the edge the whole RDP desktop 'slides' to one side, and Windows 8.1 on the local computer peeks it's head out from behind. Fail. Maybe there's a way to turn that off, but WTF- I don't have an (another) hour to chase it down. 2ff7e9595c
