Solution: If the report is to be printed, the printer assigned to the report must support the paper size and margins. Please note that any changes to the print settings in code must be made in or before the ReportStart event. To use custom paper sizes not supported by the driver, set the PrinterName to an empty string to use the ActiveReports virtual print driver. This does not allow printing, but is recommended for reports that are only exported or viewed. This prevents Activereports from making a call to the default printer driver. Use the following code in the ReportStart event, or just before .Run is called.
Printing ActiveReports On A Web Server Without A Printer
My problem is ...When I print this report , it works at server site printer and not work in client site printer. i.e ( I am working at 4th floor and server is at 10th floor . When I print the report . It is printed by the server site printer at 10th floor . ) What can I do to print the report at the printer which was the client PC connected.
The C# code you are running above is actually running on the server so that is why the Server's printer is the one receiving the print job. However, you want the client machine -the one with the web browser- to receive the print job. To do that we provide several options, but the best one is described step-by-step in the documentation under the help topic Provide One-Touch Printing in the WebViewer (Pro Edition). This will cause the printing to happen from the machine that is using the Web Browser and not the server.
You can use other viewer types other than Flash but there are limitations imposed by the browser to force the print dialogs to appear (to prevent web pages from randomly printing without consent). More information about the available options and limitations is described in the help topic Web Viewer Print Options.
CUPS manages print jobs and queues and provides network printing using the standard Internet Printing Protocol (IPP), while offering support for a very large range of printers, from dot-matrix to laser and many in between. CUPS also supports PostScript Printer Description (PPD) and auto-detection of network printers, and features a simple web-based configuration and administration tool.
The JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Printers application provides a single point of entry for configuring printers. The application enables you to define printers for workstations and enterprise servers. These definitions reside in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne tables that are maintained by the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Printers application.
To define a printer for the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne system you must first add a printer. You must complete all of the fields that display on the director forms. Set up printers for each server platform that is used for processing reports in the enterprise. After printers are added, you must define a default printer.
For Windows NT, enter the name of the print server and the name of the printer. You cannot use spaces or special characters. This information must be entered in lower case. The system uses the print server name along with the print shared name to create the printer name.
The null pass-through print filter enables you to send PDF documents directly to a print queue without converting it to a printer language format. Use null pass-through print filters when you define a custom PDL for a printer.
If you are making a copy of a conversion program, the Parameter String field is populated based on the filter that you selected on the Work With Conversion Programs form. Otherwise, the parameter string is entered automatically based on the host from which you are printing (for example ISERIES or HP9000) and the type of printer (postscript, PCL, or line).
If the output queue for an iSeries line printer does not support printing multiple copies, the Display Options parameter can be modified to send multiple copies of documents to the remote printer. A system administrator must perform this task, and only for remote output queues.
When you submit batch versions to the server, the engine prompts you for a printer name. Valid printer names must have been previously defined by the system administrator. The server automatically creates a PDF file using the settings associated with the selected printer unless event rules override those printer settings. You can affect how the report prints by modifying settings on the Printer Selection form, such as the printer name, page orientation, PDL, and paper type.

Here, the ReportsStorage.GetReportContainerByHandle method and IReportContainer.Report property are is used to load the XtraReport object from the report handle passed using the HTTP query string. Then, the report is prepared for further printing using the ReportDataSourceHelper.SetupBeforePrint method. The ReportDataSourceHelper instance is accessed using the ReportsModuleV2.ReportsDataSourceHelper property. The report is then printed using the Adobe PDF web browser plug-in, as illustrated in the How to print a report without displaying it in a web application code example.
The code above sends a report to the default server-side printer. Here, the ReportsStorage.LoadReport method is used to load the XtraReport object from the passed IReportDataV2 persistent object. The ReportsStorage instance is accessed using the static ReportDataProvider.ReportsStorage property. Then, the report is prepared for printing using the ReportDataSourceHelper.SetupBeforePrint method. The ReportDataSourceHelper instance is accessed using the ReportsModuleV2.ReportsDataSourceHelper property.
By default, ReCrystallize Server runs in the context of the LocalSystem account to ensure that it can read and write all required files on the server. Printers that are available to other Windows user accounts may not be defined to the LocalSystem account, and therefore may not be available to ReCrystallize Server. To make the printers available to the LocalSystem account, a utility program named
There are several ways you can customize label printing. You can customize your labels using Hub, Label editor, or without Hub to print custom labels from your computer. Hub and Label editor provides an easy and efficient way to customize your labels. If you want to set up your Zebra ZD410, ZD420, or ZD421 label printer without Lightspeed Hub, you can do so by following these steps and we recommend using Firefox as your browser:
To print labels and test if your printer is set up correctly, the instructions involved depend on your computer's operating system. This is because, in the process of printing labels, you need to review your print settings.
